Our very special verse Mum, year after year X Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky, Hundreds of shells on the shore together, Hundreds of birds that go singing by, Hundreds of birds in the sunny weather. Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn, Hundreds of bees in the purple clover, Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn, But only one Mother.... the wide world over. My darling, wonderful Mum, I simply can’t express in a few words what you meant to me but I know that you know how much I loved you and what a huge part of my life you were. You helped to make me the person I am proud to be today with your love, wisdom and compassion and I will hold on to those qualities for ever. Memories make the world go round and I have so many wonderful memories of happy times spent with you that will help to carry me through the difficult times ahead without you. I will still talk to you often, asking for your advice and I know it will come shining through. I take such comfort from knowing that you are now with my darling Dad again in another world and I know that you will both be looking down on us all, loving us and encouraging us each and every day. Mum, you were quite simply.... the best and I will love you for ever and a day. Your Alison Jane XXXXXXXXXXX
